This refers to Moodle 3.11 from August 2022 onwards  

Notifying lecturers about your absence

This is more of an admin activity allowing you to communicate your absence from lectures, seminars, clinical skills, computing sessions etc. in a quick and easy way.

  1. Go to your module in Moodle and open the Absence Form
  2. State the session you're missing, for example, 12/10/2020
  3. State the reason for your absence e.g. Doctor's appointment
  4. Add any additional notes to accompany your reason for absence e.g. What you are planning to do to catch-up
  5. Click 'Save changes'

Tip:  You can view previously submitted reasons for absence within the same screen by clicking on the 'Show submitted reasons' link below the 'Save changes' button. See example below.
