How to: move or customise the location of blocks

Moving blocks on Moodle pages

 These instructions refer to blocks on the Module pages. See below for My Home pages.

1. Click on the 'Turn editing on' button on the Moodle page  
2. For the block you wish to move, click on the 'Cross' icon and hold the mouse button down

3. The mouse pointer changes to a white cross

4. Drag and drop the block into the place you want. Other blocks will move to give room between them..

5. Ensure you can see a "ghost" of the block in the space you want

6. Let go of the mouse button and the block moves to the new location

7. Click on the 'Turn editing off' button in the top right of the Moodle page 

Moving blocks on My Home pages

The same procedure can be used to move and customise the location of blocks on your personal "My home" page.

Click on the 'Customise this page' button (top right) and move the blocks as shown above.

When you have finished moving your blocks, click on the 'Stop customising this page' button
