How to change the number of topics (sections) in my modules
- You can have any number of blocks within your modules - in the main column.
- The minimum is the top or general block and one other block
- The maximum is 52 (plus the top block)
- Note that if your School has decided on a template they will usually provide the number of topics/sections that are normally used for modules in your School.
- In your module click on the 'Turn editing on' button (top right)

- At the bottom left of the main module page click the +

One section will be added at a time. Click the + again to add more sections.
- In your module click on the 'Turn editing on' button (top right)

- At the bottom of the main module page click 'Add topics'

3. A pop up window will appear. Here you can enter the number of sections you want to add, once you have done this press the 'Add topics; button in the pop up window.

. 4. When you have finished, click on the 'Turn editing off' button
which is on the top-right corner of your Moodle page
To delete a topic or section
- In your module click on the 'Turn editing on' button (top right)

- Against the topic you wish to delete, click Edit, then 'Delete topic'
NOTE: This will delete everything within the topic as well, so be sure this is what you intend.
Items are held in the Recycle Bin for 24 hours and can only be restored within that timeframe.

3. When you have finished, click on the 'Turn editing off' button
which is on the top-right corner of your Moodle page
