The guidelines contained in the  Producing Assessed Coursework handbook include information on the two systems of referencing used within the School of English, as well as advice on preparing and presenting your writing. This guide has been revised for 2014-15.

Your attention is particularly directed to the section on Plagiarism. The University takes the academic issue of plagiarism extremely seriously and this guide gives more information on how to write and make use of other people’s work without committing plagiarism.

More information and advice on plagiarism is available in the Academic Integrity and Plagiarism session and accompanying powerpoint presentation. This presentation is delivered to new students arriving in the School of English at the start of each academic year.
